David Moyes will have been looking for a good performance and result in his first game back in the London Stadium dugout.

That is exactly what he got from his West Ham United side, as they went on to beat AFC Bournemouth 4-0, largely thanks to a blistering first-half display.

The second goal of the game was an important one for the team, and was undoubtedly the best of the lot.

Ryan Fredericks got the ball from Robert Snodgrass on the overlap, before playing a cross into the box towards Sebastien Haller.

The Frenchman came up with a piece of sublime quality, getting ahead of Steve Cook with an acrobatic effort that went flying past Aaron Ramsdale.

Hammers fans were understandably impressed by the finish, with one calling it “quality” and another exclaiming “what a goal”.

Among the excitement, there was also a sense of inevitability that the 25-year-old could produce big moments if the team plays to his strengths and get him in good positions.

One fan simply stated “that’s what happens when you give Sebastien Haller service” and the hope now will be that more of these finishes will come under Moyes.

He may not have been able to add another goal to his total on the day, however that moment and the end result gave Hammers something to smile about.
