Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks to sign Ecuadorian striker Leonardo Campana, according to Sky Sports.

The 19-year-old impressed at the South American U20 Championship last year, top scoring as Ecuador won the tournament.

Campana is currently playing with Ecuadorian top flight club Barcelona SC, but should he make the switch to Molineux it is suggested he will move into Wolves’ U23 squad.

Despite his nationality, he won't require a work permit as he holds a Spanish passport.

Campana has been linked with a move to Europe since the summer, when Serie A giants Napoli were claimed to be interested.

He has four goals and three assists in 21 appearances this season and has also broken into the senior international side, with four caps.
